Wine, Olive And Oil Museum Of Torgiano

One Of The Most Important Museums Of Its Kind in Italy

Two private collections owned by the Lungarotti Foundation, born from the passion and research of its founders, exponents of important wine production in the area of Torgiano. The museum’s archaeological, historical and technical exhibits include rarely beautiful and valuable pieces. Visitors are led through the knowledge of not just the techniques of cultivation and transformation of grapes and olives, but also through an understanding of the importance of these two elements and of products derived from them in Western culture: their numerous daily uses, their symbolic and propitiatory importance and their curative uses from back in Etruscan times in this territory and for Mediterranean populations.
