Fortified Town, Fought From Gubbio, Assisi And Perugia

Before the Mille was a fortified village, fought from Gubbio, Assisi and Perugia, but the remains of the walls still visible date back to 1200. Nearby is a Romanesque church frescoes of the Umbrian school, a few kilometers away is the castle and the abbey of Vallingegno that was built in early 1200, is said to have hosted St. Francis.
