 It was a feudal holding of the Count of Marsciano, of which some of the castle of S. Apollinare and tower of the Bulgarelli still remaining. In the nearby church of Cerqueto there is a San Sebastiano by Perugino (1478). It is still an active agricultural and economic centre in the valley of the Tiber and Nestore rivers |
