![]() Is 190 metres above sea level and was probably settles by by the inhabitants of Urvinum Hortense, a Roman municipality from the Augustan era. Its name comes from the vegetation, a type of cane which grows profusely in the region. It is a medieval township which still has its protective outer walls. The church of SAN BIAGIO romanesque in style, dates from the 1200's, with frescoes from the 1300's inside. The church of SAN MATTEO dates from the 1700's and the church of BUONA MORTE was traditionally a part of thr third order of Francescans. |
