Pasta Passion ! From September 29th To October 2nd in The Foligno Historic Center
..... returns to the festival dedicated to "pasta", in all its variants; 4 days in company of the queen of Italian cuisine, in thousand shapes, flavors and colors!
The historical center of Foligno houses in the spectacular medieval frame the VILLAGES OF TASTE, the nerve center of the event, where everyone is invited to taste, learn and enjoy.
13 000 kilos of pasta, 2 000 and 500 kilos of rice and polenta, 3 000 and 500 kilos of soup, 4 000 kilos of dumplings are cooked on average during the show to delight the palates of visitors, offering new and innovative recipes, but rediscovering even the taste of the past, to restore and enhance food production in Umbria.
A festival that not only speaks of Umbria, but since its first edition in 1999 has hosted and continues to host various Italian regions, this year will be the turn of Sardinia.
A festival that embraces the philosophy of being in power, dedicating various stages of the circuit of tastings to the organic food, to the "pasta of the well-being", designed for consumers who have food allergies or other specific diseases, and the VILLAGE OF TASTE and HEALTH, where you learn to cook in a healthy way, using the right products without sacrificing taste, with the support of experts who give life to high-level scientific medical appointments.
A festival where "first" not only refer to pasta dishes, but to those who are first in their field of activity, from the producers of excellences to the famous chefs; thus Gianfranco Vissani managed cooking schools in the early years of the event, Gualtiero Marchesi was the star of a memorable encounter on the art of cooking, the most qualified companies presented their niche products.
The first course seen as a symbol of Italian cuisine and a starting point for reflections of characters in social, cultural, medical and educational.
A festival for everyone, professionals and enthusiasts, who in the mini cooking classes - THE FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH THE CHEF - learn news and tricks of the trade, but also for the little ones, who have dedicated a mini-festival of their own, THE FIRST OF ITALY JUNIOR, in announcing the Diseny in 2004 and now become a date fixed, in which nutrition education is made fun.
