National Archaeological Museum Of Spoleto

The exhibition, organized on three levels, traces the history of the occupation of the territory of Spoleto and Valnerina by Umbri and Sabini populations up through to the Romanization. Many artefacts, dating from the late second millennium BC.
Among the most valuable votive bronzes, funerary set from VII-VI century BC, bone fragments from an elaborate funeral bed of the first century BC.
The tour includes the Roman Theater built in the first century. B.C. and brought to light in 1954.
Used in medieval times as a quarry, many of which are used in the cotruzione Rocca Albornoz, becomes in the summer stage of excellence for dance and theater as part of the famous Festival dei Due Mondi.
