Protohistoric Site, Excavations Have Traced Ancient Artifacts ...

It was probably a protohistoric site since excavations have traced ancient artifacts. The finding is the most famous chariot or parade, found in a tomb of sec.VI aced exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. It seems that in that place in the Middle Ages was a town that has been devastated and destroyed in the XII century, was rebuilt from Spoleto with this exact name. Since then, continued to be part of the lands of Spoleto. View the remains of the castle and two late-Gothic church, with frescoes of the Umbrian school of the '300-400.
