Welcome in The Bacco World !

For our second route we take our cue from an event known as much loved and followed not only by lovers of good wine, Cantine Aperte - May 29, 2011, scheduled on the last Sunday of May each year, with special previews on the previous Saturday , May 28.
Since it is now in its 19th edition spreading like wildfire throughout the peninsula and the consents are increasing year on year, we said that this popularity was well worth a check.
So what better testing ground than Umbria?! A land where the strong wine vocation is also evident from the number of wineries participating in the event. Will be in 56 to open the doors to fans, wine lovers and those of us who believe that a food and wine event is a great excuse to visit places, discovering traditions, culture, scenic beauty and excellent production.
So perhaps the most comprehensive live Umbria, inspired by its formula of Cantine Aperte which clears the traditional conception of the cellar as a place segregated and mysterious wine, emphasizing the most vital and fascinating. And so the basement becomes a place to meet and discuss, to discover the secrets of the wine in an informal atmosphere and friendliness, are increasingly driven by music and events, Jazz at the Winery is an example, where you go in pairs, a romantic toast and a walk between the rows, or in a group, to enjoy and appreciate not only the different varieties of the area but the local cuisine, this brings us to the CENA DEL VIGNAIOLO dinner on Saturday night, an event organized in high demand partly because environments which are highly suggestive of the historical cellars of Umbria.
In our "ENOTOUR" we went in search of these ancient structures just discovering that Umbria has a very generous representation, and we were fascinated by the extraordinary scenes in which they are in harmony with the sweetness of the elements of the landscape: rows to the eye following the soft outline of the hills, dirt roads that snake in the green, rounded stones from the houses.
We were not content to watch from afar, but we decided to abandon the car and walk, adhering to the walks in the vineyard proposals from various companies  followed by a tasting that introduced to the secrets of Umbrian wines DOC and D.O.C.G. Once on the streets of wine is difficult to abandon them and the weekend in Umbria, as in the original intent, it could go there tight.
Deciding to spend a holiday in Umbria, beyond the two nights will seem the natural choice. In the meantime, follow our journey May 27 to 29.
