Scheggino Medieval Village Celebrates The Black Truffle

For its fourth edition, scheduled for March 12 and 13, BLACK DIAMOND is even richer and more engaging.

The local community in full force will create a historical, artistic and gastronomic displays by opening along the streets of the charming old town. The points of tasting, to which is added Capolaterra this year, in the highest part of the village, are available for all visitors to delight the eyes and palate. Truffle and its derivatives, from sauces, liqueurs, chocolate and all the news, are the stars of this festival created to celebrate the most famous gastronomic product of Valenrina, present in all the gourmet dishes of Umbria.
A multifaceted festival, with performances, events and games to entertain children and adults. It starts on Saturday afternoon, with the "La Città dei Balocchi" , an event dedicated to children. On Saturday evening will be dedicated to the music and youth, with the highly anticipated concert Blasko Rock Band, which will be the soundtrack to a "White Night" accompanied by sausages and wine.
On Sunday morning, after a fierce contest between truffle dogs, car lovers will enjoy the vintage vehicles of Spoleto Cames Club which in the main square for the occasion.
The pride of this year's event will also be the "legendary truffle omelette", created by the famous chef Fabio Ferretti with an unknown number of eggs!
