The medieval building which was the first seat of the municipality, houses since 2001 the Antiquarium of Fossato di Vico, a charming medieval town situated on the border between the Marche and Umbria.
The exhibition is organized in two rooms: the first introduces the history of the area with the help of ancient maps, maps and views (from the sixteenth to nineteenth century) and a selection of objects from Roman to modern times, the second sets out in chronological order, old and new finds from the area.
Among these are the materials from the area of Aja della Croce, where there was the old town, and incidental findings of the Cese, Categge and Fossato.
At the center of the room is a large "dolio tomb" discovered in the context of SS 200 Km 3 Flaminia.
Particular importance is given a fragment of statues representing an inscription with a dedication to Venus and Mars. Panels and captions document sites and artifacts almost exclusively Roman, from the Republican to late imperial age.
